The average selling price of these homes was $91,906 with the median selling price being $85,150. In 1999, the selling prices ranged from $34,000 to $340,000. The majority of the homes in Sun City have two bedroom and 2 baths. With few exceptions all housing units in Sun City are one story – there are no basements and few second floors. When Sun City was started most of the houses were constructed with block exterior walls. Newer sections of Sun City have wood framed exterior walls. The last homes built in Sun City were constructed around 1980, when construction moved to Sun City West.
